About Us and Our Horses....

ACE Ranch was bought in July 2006. Horses are our passion and we thought the ranch made the perfect home to develop our herd and business.

I started riding when I was about 2 1/2 yr old with my pony Scooter. At age 8 I got my first horse and did the switch from western to English. From there I showed in dressage and hunters. At age 13 I started teaching and training for outside clients. I continued to show in dressage, hunters, hacks, and jumpers. In college I started to rodeo a bit and enjoyed that. But quickly returned to the English ring when I moved home, I worked for Dorsch Farms for a little while and then started back into teaching & training for myself.

That was the summer I met Arliss (2002). Arliss is a team roper (heading & heeling) and a very talented horseman. He started riding as a young child and started training horses in his teens. Arliss likes to work with horses but does not agree with the typical 30 day training program.

We really enjoy working around the ranch together. We put a good handle on our horses and feel our need for perfection in our finished horses is well respected.

2007 - Blue Roan AQHA Stud Colt

Chicks Think Im Foxy aka "Diesel" is nice built colt. With a good hip and nice long legs. A great attitude and wonderful bloodlines to back this all up!

We hope to keep this boy as a stud but I am picky and have ended up cutting every other stud prospect we have had!

His mother is a solid built 15.3HH grey mare by Feature Em Frost. Her full brother (Zane pictured on sold page) was sold last year, he was 16.2HH and weighed in at around 1500lbs. Her 1/2 brother we still own Jack is 16.2 HH as well and is also well built. Both the sire and dam have passed on. So we were happy to welcome foxy to the family in March of 2007.

Smart Chics Dewit is Diesels sire, a bay roan. His Sire All Reddy Smart a son of Smart Chic Olena . All Reddy Smart retired at the end of 2001, with total earnings of over $16,000.00 in NRHA and AQHA competitions. He is also an NRHA Gold Certificate earner and AQHA Superior Reining Horse, earning total of 63 points in reining and working cowhorse. Smart Chic Olena is a NRHA 04 Hall of Fame inductee and a $9 million Sire, aslo a NRCHA $1 million Sire! Smart Chic Olena is standing at stud for only $25,000.00.

Gus - Grade Gelding

Gus is Arliss's main heel horse and the go to guy for when something needs to be done or you just feel like going for a nice relaxing ride.

Arliss bought Gus when he was a 4 yr old. Gus was also used for lessons for 3 years and taught many little girls how to ride!

Gus has a long life still ahead of him at 16 years old (in 2008) he is bright eyed and sound as can be.

2000 AQHA Gelding

Country Enforcer aka Tucker is a total looker and a lovely addition to the herd!

This gelding was born in Montana and then sold to Texas.....now he lives at ACE Ranch in Saskatchewan.....this boy likes to travel!

Our plans are for Arliss to use him as a heel horse and for me to continue his training(which at this point is very little) and get him going really well! Then we will decide what he would like to do.

He is Double bred Zan Parr Bar.
